Vintage Domart Bakelite Sewing Box Round Art Deco Thread Caddy

Vintage Domart round sewing box made of dark brown marbled Bakelite with matching lid and removable inner tray. The tray has divided compartments around the outside for holding thread spools, plus a center cup-style storage area for sewing notions.  Marked on the bottom: “Domart Sewing Box,” Patent No. 1454689, Made in U.S.A., by The Domart Company, Glenside, PA. This piece has a great Art Deco / early vintage sewing room look and works well for thread storage, notions, sewing supplies, craft storage, or display.  Measures approximately 9.5” in diameter x 3.5” high with lid.  Good vintage condition with expected age-related surface wear, light scuffs, and marks from use/storage.
