Reiwa 7 (2025) Harvest Black Rice (Ancient Grain) Mochi Rice from Chiba Prefecture, 700g, Shipped Vacuum-Sealed

We are pleased to offer black rice (ancient grain, mochi rice) from the Reiwa 7 harvest, sourced from Chiba Prefecture, from a long-established rice dealer in Kyoto. This product contains 700g and will be shipped vacuum-sealed.

Our black rice has been sold since 1985, with over 35 years of experience. It is an ancient grain enjoyed by wholesalers, rice retailers, restaurants, and even temples and shrines nationwide.

This black rice is not whole brown rice; it has been lightly polished. This makes it easier to eat after cooking and results in a richer color when cooked. We may be the only ones selling polished ancient grain.

The product has undergone processes including stone removal, color sorting, polishing, and removal of small grains. As this is a natural product, please note that some reddish grains or broken rice may be mixed in. Thank you for your understanding.

■ Recommended Cooking Method
Mix with white rice at a ratio of 10% to 15% (e.g., for 2 go servings, mix 270g white rice with 30g black rice). Washing is the same as usual.

■ Shipping Information
We will ship via Raku Raku Mercari Bin in a simple brown envelope. Although it will be delivered vacuum-sealed, please understand that some air may enter due to impact during transit.

*As this is a special price and special quantity offering, please refrain from price negotiations.

Our shop was founded in 1930 and is a long-established rice dealer in Gion, Kyoto. Our journey with ancient grains began when Yasaka Shrine requested us to find some for offerings, which led us to be the first in Japan to sell it retail.

We have received excellent feedback from customers nationwide for its rich color and delicious taste.
Please try it at least once.
